CYPRESS AQUATIC CENTER SWIM LESSONS AND LEAGUE $30 PER PARTICIPANT Swim programs at Cypress Aquatic Center will take place April 6–29 on Mondays and Wednesdays, offering opportunities for youth swimmers and those interested in the swim league. Level 1 and Level 2 lessons for ages 6–10 will be held at 4:30 p.m., followed by Swim League from 5 to 6 p.m. for participants ages 7–15. Additional swim lessons will be offered April 7–30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Level 1 and Level 2 lessons for ages 6–10 will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by Teen Levels 1 and 2 for ages 11–14 at 5 p.m. and adult lessons for participants ages 15 and older at 5:30 p.m.. SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Registration is now open for the city’s Summer Camp Program for youth ages 5–14. Camps will be held at multiple locations throughout Daytona Beach and provide a safe, engaging environment for children throughout the summer.

DAYTONA BEACH GYMSTARS SHINE AT ST. PETERSBURG MEET The Daytona Beach Gymnastics (DBG) GymStars recently competed in St. Petersburg from Feb. 27–March 1, with 22 athletes representing the program across the Xcel Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. The team earned 25 individual event medal placements for first through third place in vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around competitions. The GymStars will compete next at the AAU Third Qualifier in Gainesville on March 21–22, followed by the Spring State Championships on May 9–10. GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL REGISTRATION OPEN Registration is now open for the Girls Flag Football League for ages 9–14. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football, develop teamwork skills and compete in a fun, supportive environment. All clinics, drafts, practices and games will take place at Derbyshire Complex, 849 Derbyshire Road. Registration is open through April 30. Clinic dates are May 4 and May 6, followed by the draft on May 11. Practices begin May 12, and the season will run May 20 through June 20. PARENT & CHILD GYMNASTICS CLASS The Daytona Beach Gymnastics Center is offering a Parent & Child Gymnastics class designed for children ages 9 months to 3 years old and their caregivers. The class encourages early movement, coordination and bonding through guided activities that parents and children complete together. Classes will be held March 5, March 12 and March 26 from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. at 1101 N. Atlantic Ave. The cost for each class is $36. TAI CHI PROGRAM EXPANDED Due to strong community interest and attendance of more than 20 participants during the past two weeks, the Tai Chi program is expanding its schedule. The class will now be offered twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Schnebly Recreation Center, 1101 N. Atlantic Ave. Tai Chi provides a gentle, low-impact way to improve balance, flexibility and overall wellness. Participants of all skill levels are welcome.
