Crews are installing underground irrigation followed by placing a variety of small and large plants in the medians and shoulders in the stretch between the base of the bridge and Atlantic Avenue. Plantings include palm trees, Live Oaks, junipers and various grasses and ground coverings. The project, which is a collaboration between the Florida Department of Transportation and the City of Daytona Beach, should be completed mid-summer. HALIFAX HARBOR PLAZA BUILDING The Halifax Harbor Plaza, 125 Basin St., is getting a vibrant new look! A fresh coat of paint will rejuvenate the building’s exterior after a thorough pressure wash and stucco repairs. Every detail— from the walls and railings to the metal doors and window frames—is being refreshed to enhance its coastal charm. This $120,500 transformation is already 30-40 percent complete, with

a finish expected by mid-May. Stay tuned for the grand reveal!
