SPECIAL NEEDS RESIDENTS BEACH PARTY
FOOD BRING HOPE Zone 3 City Commissioner Quanita May joined Food Brings Hope last week at the Dickerson Recreation Complex to host the organization’s quarterly wellness check. The event provided residents with free health screenings, healthy snacks and valuable wellness resources. As part of the gathering, Food Brings Hope also launched its Fresh Market, which will bring weekly fruits and vegetables to the community. The initiative is designed to promote healthier lifestyles and expand access to fresh, nutritious food for local families.
The city’s Special Needs Adaptive Program (SNAP) hosted its Beach Bash Luau at the Dickerson Community
Center, drawing a diverse crowd for an evening of fun and celebration. Attendees of all ages enjoyed delicious food, lively music, games, and plenty of dancing in a welcoming and festive atmosphere. The Beach Bash Luau is one of many events offered through SNAP, which provides engaging activities and social opportunities for individuals with special needs. Residents are encouraged to follow the city for updates on the next SNAP celebration.
