PROJECTS IN DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION Lift Station 5 Replacement Location : 647 Shady Place Design & Construction Cost: $8,373,000 Funded by FDEP SRF Loan: Sewer Impact Fees Expected Completion: Aug. 2025 Project Description: City-owned, wet-pit/dry-pit configuration, triplex master lift station constructed in the 1950s. LS 5 is one of the largest lift stations within the City, handling approximately 2 million gallons of wastewater per day on an average annual basis. It re-pumps wastewater from 12 public lift stations in the southeastern portion of the City, as well as from the City of South Daytona. Under normal operation, LS 5 sends wastewater to the Westside Regional Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). This project is one of several planned improvements designed to allow LS 5’s service area to be rerouted to the Bethune Point WRF. Redirecting this flow will increase capacity in the western portion of the City to support future growth. Construction began in July 2024 and is scheduled for completion by the end of August 2025.
