DAYTONA BEACH GYMNASTICS BRINGS MEDALS HOME The Daytona Beach Gymnastics Team had a strong performance at the qualifier this month in Orange City. More than 20 competing athletes secured multiple top-three placements in individual events. Additionally, 13 gymnasts placed in the All-Around competition, with six scoring 36.0+ and two achieving 37.0+, advancing to the Elite division, bringing the team’s total Elite competitors to three.
Next up, the team will compete at the AAU Florida State competition here in Daytona Beach at the Ocean Center from May 9 through 11.
YAC EASTER PARTY The Young Adult Club held their annual fun-filled Easter Party this past Friday at the Schnebly Rec Center. The evening included an Easter egg hunt, music from a DJ, lots of dancing, and tasty refreshments.

REGISTRATION STILL OPEN FOR SUMMER CAMP The nine-week program runs from June 2 to Aug. 1 and offers a fun experience for children ages 5 to 16. Camp hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Activities include weekly swim lessons, sports, crafts, reading, computer time and special events. Optional field trips are available for an additional fee. Breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost. Program fees start at $140, and flexible payment options are available.

NEW SWIM PROGRAMS OFFERED IN MAY Two new Learn-to-Swim programs are being offered next month -- Baby & Me for ages six months to three years old and swim lessons for teens 11-14. Lessons are offered at the Cypress Aquatic Center. Baby and Me will be offered Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and the teen program will be offered Wednesdays at 5 p.m.
