BREAKERS OCEANFRONT PARK SPLASH PAD REFRESH The splash pad at Breakers Oceanfront Park received a fresh coat of paint, brightening the popular play area. The repainting project was part of the city’s ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance public recreational spaces. The splash pad is open to the public 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week, offering the perfect place to stay cool. Breakers Oceanfront Park is at 13 S. Atlantic Ave. CITY BENCH UPDATE City benches are being updated to reflect the city’s current brand standards. Of the 120 concrete benches scheduled for new logos, 84 have already been completed. The project began two weeks ago and is expected to wrap up by the end of the summer. Once finished, all benches will feature udpated city branding, creating a more consistent look throughout the community. ROAD REPAVING Phase 33 of the city’s infrastructure improvements was completed last week. As part of this phase, the failing brick pavers on Champions Drive, International Golf Drive and Tournament Drive were removed and replaced with asphalt to improve road safety and durability. With the fiscal year ending, the city’s focus is now shifting to finalizing contracts and scheduling projects for fiscal year 2025-26.

NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLED ON ISB A new traffic signal is now active at the intersection of International Speedway Boulevard (U.S. 92/S.R. 600) and Pit Road. Installed by the Florida Department of Transportation, the signal is part of an improvement project to enhance traffic flow and safety. The nearby signal at the plaza entrance by Best Buy has been removed. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution as the community adjusts to the new traffic signals.
