PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS A variety of activities such as homework assistance, arts & crafts, life-skills education, sports, computer fun and seasonal projects. The program is fully licensed through the Department of Children & Families. EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS Engage in a variety of free educational activities and programs designed to foster a deeper understanding of the local ecosystem. The Breakers Environmental Learning Center hosts presentations and workshops on topics such as bird science and marine life, often featuring experts in the field. MAYOR’S FITNESS CHALLENGE The 10-week program features a schedule of fun activities for adults of all ages and fitness levels. Biweekly sessions include indoor and outdoor activities including line dancing, strength training, walk/runs and yoga.

MAYOR’S LITERACY INITIATIVE Implemented by Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick L. Henry in 2019, the year-round program for youth ages five to seven inspires them to develop a sustained interest in reading and math. SENIOR OASIS Designed for individuals ages 55 and older who are looking for social activities, fun outings and a sense of community. This program hosts regular luncheons, dances, day trips and other engaging events, providing opportunities for seniors to connect with others, stay active and enjoy a variety of recreational activities. SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM Children will be supervised by trained professional staff and will enjoy making new friends, creating crafts, and participating in weekly field trips, along with free swimming lessons.
